with a happy but complex feeling, i closed the book and drowned myself into deep thought. i have to recognize that it’s lucky for me to read this book, which is just like a mirror of our daily life.

two lovely mice sniff, scurry together with two little people hem and haw live in a big maze. they have to find cheese to feed themselves. just as their names show,

sniff has a great sense of sniff and scurry is able to run very fast. however, they are mice with simple thoughts. there’s no doubt that two little people are much cleverer than these mice, which are regarded as low-level creature by people.

but the ending is surprising enough: the mice become the lucky dog and firstly adapt the changing situation. while the mice have already found new cheese and tasted the happiness of adventure, our two little people are still discussing the reasons and anglicizing their situation.

they are afraid of changing and losing, because their wisdom tells them changing is a dangerous thing. this time, wisdom is no longer an advantage for them. apparently, humans’ overly complicated and emotional intelligence sometimes do not advance way. the poorest character is hem,

no one knows his fate in the future, but we can imagine how hard it will be. refusing changes bring him nothing but sadness. haw is much luckier, though his action is not as quick as two mice, he take changes the moment he awake to his fault and learn a lot from the process.

there’s no doubt that haw’s handwriting on the wall is the brightest point in the whole story.

obviously, the maze represents our whole life and cheese represent the valuable things that we pursuit. we ourselves are playing the role of mice or little people in our realistic life. may be you’re mice who can take quick actions to change, then congratulations! but what if you are hem?

i believe no one of us want to be a second hem without any cheese. so, just try to become haw, simplify the problems and try new things without worrying. surprise is ahead of you, success is just there, waiting for you.

in my opinion, this story is a kind of scathing satire on people who don’t have an ability to adapt new surroundings quickly. in the future, change is the only constant.

if you don’t want to be eliminated by the changing time, if you want to keep pace with the changing tide, please keep the alertness and give up conservative ideas.

the future is full of changes, since you are already in the maze, how to find your" cheese" is the problem you have to deal with. there’s an old saying in china called security is the biggest enemy. no one can deny that a constant job or something will kill people’s passion.

but it will lead only two kinds of consequences: you make no progress or your condition becomes much worse.

someone refuse to change because of the fear from the bottom of their heart. if you can’t overcome this psychology barrier, you can’t knock open the door of success. all depends on you, choose to change and have a better life or to be stubborn and lose all the old cheese.

after seeing it for the 24th time since i first saw it 5 years ago,on my 13th birthday,i can gladly say that this movie went far and beyond the 80s,and the power and inspiration of the message can be felt every day.dead poets society is a most underrated film by a most underrated director whose inspiring,uplifting and moral tales firmly grounded in reality are not nearly as appreciated as they should be.here,we see one of his very personal and cradled projects,and he shows the visual style and concentration on characters in which he is so affluent.his control of the camera and the characters are very strong and very smooth.

the cinematography is near perfect,with every shot,along with the editing,seamless.also very compelling are the color-tones in every scene,perfectly matching the mood and events of the scene.could you say this is art?absolutely.then we have the performances.robin williams continues in stride as one who has to-date remained the most touching,heart-wrenching,awe-inspiring comedians with inarguable acting talent (he still remains my most favorite performer on the film screen).his professor john keating is a man who embodies every professor who you thought was cool and respectable,every person who taught or enlightened you in something out of the ordinary.in fact - dare i say it?- he teaches something extraordinary!we have the tragically underrated robert sean leonard in his role as the free-thinking catalyst student neil.why is this man not a household name/hollywood heavyweight?his roles are always full of inspiration,energy,and tragic emotion that never fail to move an audience.his role in this movie is fresh,unhindered,and never pretentious as the cautionary tale of the movie.and then we have ethan hawke in one of his earliest roles as the point-of-view character.the entire supporting cast is very strong,also,providing the foundation and serve as the various emotional ties that further involve us in the story.

josh charles's role as knox overstreet is a role that almost all guys can relate to wholeheartedly.and of course,all the actors who are in that dead poets society do a fine job.and lastly,the story.i won't summarize it since it's been summarized many times here,but i will say that it is one of the best coming of age stories for not only adolescents,but anyone.i have personally heard from nine-to-fivers who were inspired by this movie to change the situations of their jobs,careers,relationships for the better.i first saw this movie when i was 13,and immediately stamped,crowned and elevated this movie as my all-time favorite.now that i am 18 and living on my own,with very different concerns than back then,i turn back to this movie over and over again,to find inspiration,solace and of course,entertainment.it is still my all-time favorite,and it still inspires me to seize the day and make my life extraordinary.

the story of the little prince is about a prince from an asteroid named b-612, which is a fairly small one, with three volcanoes and a rose on it. the prince spent his days caring for his "planet", sweeping the volcanoes and pulling out the baobab trees that would make his little planet turn to dust if they were not removed. however, he was lonely. he watched the sunset every time he was down. he had seen the sunset forty-three times in a day, for endless loneliness and sadness filled up his heart. fortunately, a beautiful rose enriched his life. she loved the distressed prince, while the prince loved her sincerely as well. unluckily, the sensitive prince once doubted about love due to the rose’s anger, and he left his rose as well as his planet to start his lonely journey.

after visiting six other asteroids, he came to the earth. he met a fox and tamed it. it was the fox who taught the prince that his rose was in a class by herself. the prince began to realized that he was tamed by his rose, he responsible for her. as a result, he was eager to see his rose again, but he found himself unable to leave the earth. finally, the prince chose to go back to his asteroid with the snake’s bite, though he felt afraid of pains.
